My students love to sing and it is a great way to give them a little break and move around. Last year I purchased this great doubles song from Heidi Songs. I play the song and have the words on my SMART Board for my students to read. My students love this song and beg to sing it again!
This is the beginning of my second week of school. My students struggle with writing a story so I am starting them with the basics. I like to teach them how to stretch a sentence by making a super sentence. Our first super sentence we wrote was about a clown. Once I get the template made, I can easily change the picture for a new writing paper. Click on the picture of the clown super sentence for your free copy.
Here is a book from Evan-Moor that gives you step by step guided practice on writing a super sentence.
I also made this adorable Writer's Eye bulletin board. It is free from Cara Carroll from The First Grade Parade.
Now I off to make some math worksheets for my students and to print the wonderful things I purchased from the TPT Sale.
Tomorrow is my first day back to school. I have been busy setting up my classroom, going to professional development trainings, and trying to plan for my first week of school. I made some back to school gifts for my students. I got the labels from Primarily Speaking. She has them made for many grades.
Here is another gift I made for my students. I have a first and second grade combination class so I thought we could take a little break and blow bubbles. You can get the labels from First Grade with a Cherry on Top.
Here is a view of the gifts on my dining room table. I have school stuff all over the house. Now it is time to start packing it into my car and bringing it to school.
Hope everyone has a terrific school year!
