Fall is Here

My students made these scarecrows to brighten up our room and to celebrate fall.  Click on the picture for the pattern.

Smiling and Shining in Second Grade

I never have enough wall space, so I put them under my SMART Board and whiteboard.  I usually put a long brown rectange on the bottom of them to look like they are on a pole, but I did not have enough wall space.  If you want, you can buy fabric and put a scarf on the scarecrow for more texture and variety.

Have a great week!

  5. Aw, this was a very nice post. Taking a few minutes and actual effort to generate a great article… but what can I say… I put
things off a lot and never manage to get nearly anything done.

  24. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE scarecrows and yours are just adorable!!! If you're still sending the writing paper I'd love to receive a copy as well. One more thing: if it is possible, would you add your blog name or other identifying info to one page of the free pattern pages? I'll tell you why -- sometimes I'll download and save to an electronic file. Then later, maybe MUCH later, when I go to use it I can't remember where I got it. Even if you just add your name somewhere along the edge it will help later so that we may give credit to the person who created it (and in this case, you :) ) Again, thanks so much for sharing your fantastic student work!
